Grittenham Barn Wedding Photography | Hannah & Chris
When I was just a wee lad growing up near the small town of Rake on the West Sussex/Hampshire border (it actually ran through our garden, apparently), Hannah lived a mere stone’s throw from me! Although she and Chris are a few years younger than me, we cut our teeth in the same small town pubs and same horrible local club… So you can image my amusement when they got in touch about their Grittenham Barn wedding in Tillington, West Sussex, which is a stones throw from where my Dad lives now, and where I spent my last few years before moving up to Surrey. Small world!
I’d been wanting to photograph a wedding at Grittenham Barn for a long time; partly because it’s a beautiful venue in a stunning part of the countryside, but also because it feels like coming home, which is a rare feeling to have when going to shoot a wedding! Imae and I went to have a look around the barn and the grounds and met some donkeys and pigs, and also the lovely event organiser, Katherine, who has been kind enough to add me to her recommended suppliers list since seeing the photos. :)
Hannah & Chris’ day was beautiful. The weather was a perfect May summer’s day; about 20 degrees and some beautiful evening light. In fact, the light was so nice, it helped me win 2 awards for one of their golden hour photos :). This was a truly memorable, emotional and fun filled day, and I’m very grateful to have been along for the ride. Have a look at just a few of the many highlights! Cx
